2017 Round Up
I’ve left this round up of 2017 for so long, mainly because I’m still processing everything that has happened and what it all means for us as a business.
Where do I even start?

I’ve left this round up of 2017 for so long, mainly because I’m still processing everything that has happened and what it all means for us as a business. 2017 was perhaps the most successful year of my career as a photographer, also probably the first year when I feel I could truly call myself a cinematographer. I have learnt, shot and travelled more than I thought was physically possible – 4 continents, 15 countries, over 250 days on location. I’ve come to realise that although 2017 has come to an end – for many reasons for LWimages as a studio it was the beginning of a bigger journey. Looking back, it seems that 2017 was a scene-setter rather than a closed chapter of our studio operations. In 2017 we kicked our work into a higher gear. Changing our name to Larsson-Warzecha Images to highlight Ulrika’s involvement and ownership was a reflection of how during the last year LWimages has become a properly integrated studio. Personally, I’ve been able to develop a better understanding of my creative process around image making, the support I receive from my studio crew has enabled me to focus on that one thing and one thing only – what is happening through the viewfinder. With initiatives like LWimages joining 1% for the Planet I could describe 2017 as groundbreaking, but more than all the headline contracts and new exotic locations the real changes have been deeper. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say, I’ve learn’t more in 2017 than in the whole of the rest of my photography career. At LWimages we are excited to take those lessons into the new year and make 2018 and beyond equally rewarding. Having said all that, here’s some (random!) highlights… (lw)

In the second of our occasional interview series with the LWimages team we ask our Swedish dynamo Ulrika Larsson about her back ground in Ecotourism, the wonders of adventure kayaking and just what exactly does a Studio Director do.
